Nestle axes 'fan favourite' cereal which dates back to 1980s

Nestle has confirmed it has axed a fan-favourite cereal from shelves – leaving shoppers gutted. Nestle has discontinued Golden Grahams and says the cereal will not be returning, after the cereal was popular in the 80s and 90s but were discontinued in 2021.

One Twitter/X user fumed: "Just found out golden grahams were discontinued in the uk in 2021". And a second raged: "F***the uk for discontinuing golden grahams." Another wrote: "Please bring Golden Grahams back to the UK."

Another added: "Outrageous they don’t sell them in supermarkets in the UK." And another said: "Omg I LOVED Golden Grahams sooooo much and I crave them every now and then." Another agreed: "Omg I miss golden grahams so much."

And another said: "Golden grahams were my favourite cereal so yes I just spent £13 for a box in order to satisfy my craving for the first time in 2 long years! (Why did they stop making them in the UK?)" A Nestlé spokesperson told The Sun: “Golden Grahams has not been sold in the UK for several years. While there’s no plan to bring back Golden Grahams, its sibling brand, Curiously Cinnamon, is still available nationwide.

“Nestlé’s cereal lineup is packed with household favourites like Cheerios, Shreddies and Shredded Wheat. For those who miss the honey taste of Golden Grahams, we’d suggest trying Honey Cheerios or Honey Shreddies for a delightful breakfast treat.”

On Amazon, a product description explains: "Enjoy a serving of Nestlé Cereals with the following items: 125ml of milk, A glass of water, Fresh fruit 1 of your 5-a-day." In reply, a five-star review on Amazon said: "Customers like the taste and quality of the cereal. They mention it's the best tasting cereal ever made and superb.

"However, some customers feel the value for money is grossly overpriced for just 1 box."
