Netflix announce three new series as fans say 'we've won'
Netflix has thrilled their fans and gamers alike by confirming three new series based on popular video games are set to join its streaming service in the near future.
During what their Geeked Week event, the company teased their upcoming slate of shows, including three new animated series created in collaboration with renowned game developers. The first big reveal was Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Deathwatch, featuring Liev Schreiber, known from Netflix's The Perfect Couple, as the voice of protagonist Sam Fisher.
Fans were given a glimpse of Schreiber's interpretation of the character's iconic voice in the brief teaser. While no specific release date was given, Netflix promised it's coming soon.

Eager gamers have been anticipating a new entry in the Splinter Cell saga for years, but this Netflix and Ubisoft Film and Television partnership will at least offer them a chance to reconnect with Fisher, reports the Mirror.
The announcement sparked immediate excitement online, with one fan commenting on X, previously known as Twitter: "Oh hello old friend." Another eagerly replied: "I'm looking forward to watching this...Been a hot minute since we've seen Sam Fisher."
Netflix also disclosed a series adaptation of Capcom's hit franchise, Devil May Cry. Brought to life by Studio Mir, the series is helmed by Adi Shankar, who served as an Executive Producer on Netflix's Castlevania series.
The fresh trailer showcases the main character, Dante's, demon-slaying abilities and pinpoints a release in April 2025. One overjoyed fan commented: "We won." Another exclaimed: "Wow! One of my favourite video game series! Thank you Capcom and Netflix! ".
Netflix also confirmed a collaboration with CD Projekt Red, creators of the celebrated Witcher games, for an upcoming animated show set in the Cyberpunk universe, urging fans to watch out for further details.
Cyberpunk 2077 featured actors such as Idris Elba and Keanu Reeves, while the related Netflix series, Edgerunners, which dived deeper into its world, received a positive reception too.
A new two-minute trailer was also released for the latest animated series based on Tomb Raider. Marvel actress Hayley Atwell is voicing the iconic Lara Croft in The Legend of Lara Croft, landing on Netflix October 10.
