Netflix game show Floor Is Lava will return for a second season.
Its renewal was confirmed by Variety, with production scheduled to go ahead later this summer before streaming in 2022.
Rutledge Wood will once again host the series, which challenges participants to leap over obstacles while avoiding the 'lava' floor.
Previously discussing what he'd "love to see more of" if Floor Is Lava was recommissioned, co-creator Irad Eyal claimed it would be better to see more players working together to bag the $10,000 prize.
"When they're reaching across, when they're helping each other, boosting each other, pushing the canoe, all that, so I think we're going to double down on teamwork. That really made it fun, makes it different from other shows, and it also brings out the personalities of these teams," he explained.
Meanwhile, fans of the show should expect to witness "bigger props, more action [and] more lava" in season 2, as fellow boss Megan McGrath is keen to see the continuation of "slapstick face-plants".
Will Netflix stump up the cash to realise this?
Referencing the first season of Floor Is Lava's Easter eggs, Eyad also went on to comment: "The design team was really great at that too, and putting little quirky things in there. If viewers watch carefully, and maybe it's going to take a second viewing... There is a little bit of a backstory, a little bit of a mystery to the show too."
Floor Is Lava is streaming on Netflix.
