Netflix finally releases first look trailer of highly-anticipated second season of fan-favourite show
Netflix has just dropped a tantalising first-look teaser for the eagerly anticipated second season of its hit political thriller, The Diplomat.
The show follows Keri Russell as Kate Wyler, the newly appointed US ambassador to the UK, who finds herself embroiled in an international crisis while adjusting to life in the public eye.
The brief teaser has given fans a glimpse of what's in store, and it seems the upcoming season promises to be a thrilling ride.
In the clip, we see Kate elegantly exiting a car and entering a high-profile event, locking eyes with none other than the Vice President of the United States, played by Alison Janney.
The teaser has sparked a wave of excitement among fans, who have taken to YouTube's comments section to share their anticipation for the show's return, reports the Mirror.

The Diplomat made its debut on Netflix in April 2023 and was swiftly renewed for a second season just one month later.
In addition to Kate's professional life, the series also delves into her crumbling marriage to fellow career diplomat Hal Wyler. The cast includes Rufus Sewell as Kate's husband Hal and David Gyasi as Austin Dennison, the UK Foreign Secretary.
Other notable characters are Ali Ahn as Eidra Park, CIA station chief, Rory Kinnear as Nicol Trowbridge, the UK prime minister and Ato Essandoh as Stuart Hayford, deputy chief of mission of the US embassy in London.
The first season was met with critical praise, earning Keri a nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series at the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards.
She also bagged the Best Actress in a Streaming Series, Drama award at the Hollywood Critics Association TV Awards.
The Diplomat season two premieres on Netflix on October 31.
