Netflix Hit ‘Love Is Blind’ Gets Italian Version
Love is Blind is learning to speak Italian.
Netflix has given the greenlight to Love is Blind Italy, the latest local language version of its hit dating format. The show follows a group of singles looking for love who get engaged without every meeting their future partners face-to-face. It’s only ahead of their wedding day, that they have a chance to rethink their decision.

The original Love is Blind was created by The North Road Company’s Kinetic Content for Netflix U.S.. It premiered in 2020 and has run for 7 seasons. The screener has already ordered localized versions for the U.K., Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Brazil, Sweden, and Argentina. The British version of the show launched in August. A Swedish remake bowed in January and was quickly renewed for a second season.
Banijay Italia will make the Italian version of the show and casting for the first season has begun.
Reality TV and cheaper non-scripted formats are becoming an increasingly important part of programming for Netflix and other international streamers as they look to keep costs low while still delivering large local audiences to their regional services worldwide.
