Star Wars, Moulin Rouge and Birds of Prey actor Ewan McGregor has got a new project landing on Netflix next month, and the streaming service has released some first-look images.

Coming from Ryan Murphy, the man behind American Horror Story, Glee and practically every glossy US show out there, Halston sees the actor playing the eponymous, mononymous fashion designer.

Halston built up a fashion empire in the 1970s and across most of the 1980s, while also living a hedonistic lifestyle heavily tied to the legendary nightclub Studio 54. Eventually, he had to fight against a hostile takeover of his company.

None of this is included in the newly released photos. Instead, we get two photos of McGregor in a high-rise office, one of which sees him using a red telephone.

The official poster shows off a bit of Halston's hedonism, as we see him looking extravagant and smoking while in a car presumably heading for a night out.

Meanwhile, Ewan McGregor is returning as Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi in a Star Wars spin-off heading to Disney+. Filming is set to start this month, with Hayden Christensen returning as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader after the pair last appeared together in 2005's Revenge of the Sith.

Halston will drop on Netflix on May 14.
