The third season of Netflix's You just dropped on the streaming service, while they have already confirmed a fourth season is happening.

However, it’s been almost two years since the second series finale, and we don’t know about you, but we certainly need a recap. Even if you binge watch the series, it’s easy to forget the finer details. Here's the reminder you need about You season 2.

There were new faces

Gossip Girls’ Penn Badgley reprised his role as Joe Goldberg, while Ambyr Childers' Candace Stone returned to the thriller. We also welcomed new cast in season two, including Victoria Pedretti as Love Quinn, James Scully as Love’s twin Forty Quinn, Jenna Ortega as Ellie Alves and on-screen sister Delilah Alves played by Carmela Zumbado.

Joe became Will

After Joe murdered Beck and Peach, he relocated from New York to Los Angeles and took on the identity of Will Ebttelheim.

Joe’s fake identity lands him in hot water, though, when we realise the 'real' Will owes money to a man named Jasper. Jasper cuts off Joe's finger in revenge so Joe not only finds the real Will but seeks revenge on Japser, puts him through a meat grinder at the cafe.

Joe and Love fell in, er, love

While Joe is working in a bookshop, he falls for Love, a chef in the same store. But as his past comes back to haunt him (more about that later), we quickly discover Love is just as violent and impulsive as Joe, and more than capable of committing multiple murders of her own.

We discovered the Quinn family's skeletons

Forty opens up about being sexually abused by his 19-year-old au pair when he was 13. He was under the illusion he murdered the nanny, which was swiftly covered up by the Quinn parents who made the death look like a suicide.

However, it turns out Love is the guilty party and slit the au pair’s throat, which Forty later reveals he always knew but wanted to protect his sister.

Forty later meets his dream girl at a festival, and it's Candace under a fake name: Amy. Candace-as-Amy plants an idea in Forty’s head, about adapting Beck's book into a movie.

When Candace eventually tells Forty the truth about Joe, he doesn't believe her, so Candace takes it upon herself to go to Joe's storage unit where she finds Delilah dead in the cage. Love then turns up and, er, kills Candace.

The Ellie/Delilah debacle

Joe befriended neighbours Ellie and her older sister Delilah, who is a journalist and Joe’s landlord. In true Joe style, he puts a tracker on Ellie’s phone to monitor her every move. Delilah later reveals she was sexually assaulted by comedian Hendy, who Ellie is growing alarmingly close to.

As the series unfolds, Hendy is facing child pornography lawsuit, and has been accused by numerous females he groomed them. Being the protective sister, Delilah tries to warn Ellie, but her advice falls on deaf ears, and it isn’t until Hendy drugs Ellie and Joe is following does she realise where she is. Joe then kills Hendy, of course.

Love then killed Delilah, Joe paid off sister Ellie to stay quiet, and she escaped to Florida.
