Netflix shares deadly new look at Squid Game season 2

Netflix has dropped some new images and a new teaser trailer for Squid Game season 2.

In the latest footage, Seong Gi-hun/Player 456 returns to the deadly competition, but his fellow competitors don't have a clue what they're letting themselves in for. That is, until the infamous red light/green light game, in which some goofing around turns fatal, and intense panic sets in.

Eventually, Seong reveals that he took part in the games once before, and is met with suspicion from other players, who question why on Earth he'd voluntarily put himself back into something so awful.

Meanwhile, the Front Man and detective Hwang Jun-ho are back as well, both with their own agendas.

Whatever happens, we already know that there will be a third and final season, which is set to arrive next year.

Meanwhile, it was reported just this week that Netflix is looking at making a scripted spin-off/adaptation for English language audiences, and is in conversation with renowned filmmaker David Fincher to helm it.

An Android/iOS game titled Squid Game: Unleashed is also on the way, and will be available for Netflix subscribers to play at no extra cost.

Squid Game season 2 drops on Netflix on December 26. Season 1 and reality show spin-off Squid Game: The Challenge are available to stream on the service now.
