The mysterious Netflix user who watched Bee Movie a whopping 357 times this year has owned-up.

The streaming giant has been unveiling some individual user preferences over the past week, which hasn't gone down too well with some.

However, mother Gemma Chalmers actually has a very good reason for the repeated viewings of the 2007 animated Dreamworks film – it helps her baby son Jaxson stay calm.

"I couldn't believe it when I saw the story," she told The Sun of Netflix's announcement.

"My friends were tagging me in posts - saying, 'This has to be you'. I calculated it - and it might even be more than 357 times."

Gemma says Jaxson became transfixed by the movie at only a few weeks old, and more importantly it stopped him from crying.

"Ever since, we've watched it multiple times a day to keep him happy," she explained. "He watches the film from the moment he wakes up until he goes to sleep at night."

Yet Gemma herself isn't as much of a fan of the flick, continuing: "I know every word of that film. I am completely fed-up with it.

"He doesn't even pay attention to it and plays with his toys - but still, it always has to be on. We've tried Trolls, Cars and other Disney films. But nothing works like the Bee Movie."

Speaking after this news broke, Netflix said: "We're bee-yond thrilled Jaxson is such a massive fan."

Bee Movie follows a bee, voiced by Jerry Seinfeld, who decides to sue humans after he discovers that they eat honey.
