Yahoo News Netflix's The Politician trailer shows Bohemian Rhapsody star in action
The first-look trailer for Netflix's original series The Politician has landed – and it looks awesome.
The eight-part comedy, from Glee and American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy, follows a wealthy student (Ben Platt) who believes his destiny is to become the president of the United States.
However, Payton Hobart (Platt) must navigate the tough political landscape of Saint Sebastian High School to get elected Student Body President first.
Payton will have to outsmart his ruthless classmates without sacrificing his own morality and carefully crafted image during the campaigning.

And the campaign process is brutal – think death threats, rumours, cheating scandals, the lot.
The series also stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Bohemian Rhapsody's Lucy Boynton, American Horror Story's Jessica Lange and Set It Up's Zoey Deutch.
Bob Balaban, David Corenswet, Julia Schlaepfer, Laura Dreyfuss, Theo Germaine, Rahne Jones and Benjamin Barrett also appear in the show.
The Politician will take on a semi-anthology format, with each season following a different race in Payton's political career, so it looks set to continue past this first season.
We're looking forward to seeing how this unfolds.
The Politician will debut on Netflix on September 27.
