Never Mind the Buzzcocks, the music-based panel show that had celebrities and musicians trembling and laughing in equal measure, is finally coming back.
Sky announced today (June 14) that the pop quiz will air eight 45-minute episodes and a Christmas special later this year, as well as having a new host and team captain.
The Inbetweeners and Taskmaster's Greg Davies will be asking the important questions, like 'What have we pixelated?' and 'Diva or Beaver?'. This Country's Daisy May Cooper and a returning Noel Fielding serve as captains, while Jamali Maddix will be a regular guest panelist.
The show was a BBC Two mainstay between 1996 and 2015. Originally hosted by Mark Lamarr until the end of 2005, it was Simon Amstell's tenure that really defined the show as a classic of the decade, with legendary episodes involving Preston, Amy Winehouse, Jamelia, Donny Tourette, Bill Oddie, Dappy... the list goes on.
The show then rotated guest hosts afterwards, with Rhod Gilbert coming on as regular host in 2015.
Production company Talkback is returning, so hopefully the new version will still look and feel like it used to.
Never Mind the Buzzcocks' new series will air on Sky and NOW in the autumn. In the meantime, we recommend Sky's other panel show There's Something About Movies to tide you over.
