New Eurostar e320 train unveiled: bigger and faster, with free Wi-Fi

Eurostar has unveiled its brand new e320 Channel Tunnel train to coincide with its 20th anniversary.

Revealed at London terminus St Pancras, the train is named e320 to reflect an improved top speed of 320kph (200mph). The new train can carry 900 passengers - 20% more than the current model. The faster speeds means that Eurostar will be able to cut 15 minutes off the journey to Paris.

Perhaps the most important news for travellers is the addition of free Wi-Fi throughout the train, across all classes of travel. Passengers will also get more room per seat, and each space will be equipped with powerpoints and a USB socket.

The train's colourful livery and slightly more muted interiors have been desinged by renowned Italian design house Pininfarina - well known for its car designs. The new look will include an improved bar buffet design along with ergonomic reclining seats and increased luggage areas.
