New Redband Trailer For Bad Neighbours 2
Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne return as the couple with the worst luck in next-door neighbours in upcoming comedy sequel ‘Bad Neighbours 2.’
While the first film saw them clash with a raucous college fraternity, headed up by Zac Efron, now they’re head-to-head with an equally obnoxious sorority lead by Chloe Grace-Moretz - but this time they’ve got arch troublemaker Efron on their side.
And, as is clear from the NSFW trailer (which uses the US title ‘Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising’), things are once again going to get vulgar,
Returning director Nicholas Stoller tells Yahoo he’s well aware of the challenge they face: namely, the fact that most comedy sequels end up being a huge disappointment.
“As Seth and I said, ‘We just didn’t want it to suck”. Because I think a lot of people are like, ‘I’m just going to take the movie and let it suck.’”
In a perhaps surprising point of reference, Stoller claims to have taken inspiration from one of the more celebrated sequels of the last 20 years:
“I looked at the Toy Story movies as inspiration. If the first Neighbors is a dumb, gross, R-rated Toy Story, this is like a dumb, gross, R-rated Toy Story 2.
“Each of the Toy Storys are telling an emotional story, but they’re comedic. They’re so successful creatively in terms of the stories they’re telling. And they’re pretty grounded,”
‘Bad Neighbours 2′ opens in UK cinemas on 6 May.
