Newcastle Christmas Market 2024 opening times confirmed ahead of city centre launch
Newcastle Christmas Market is now just days away from launching and the opening hours for this year have now been confirmed.
Always a huge draw for both locals and visitors to the city over the festive season, the Christmas Market will be back with three separate zones in the city centre from this weekend. As it always is, Grey's Monument will be at the centre of the action, this time being the location for private dining igloos, as MoosenWirt alpine bar expands to be Moosenwirt Village.
The bar will be back for 2024, once again situated on Grey's Street, a stone's throw away from the famous Theatre Royal, which will soon launch its new pantomime The Little Mermaid. Since making its debut in 2022, Moosenwirt has become THE place to go in Newcastle at Christmas time and will soon be back with mulled wine, other festive tipples, cosy fires and live music.

The third string to the Moosenwirt bow this Christmas is the Family Village, located in Old Eldon Square. Anyone who has been in the city centre this week will have seen building work begin on the zone, which will play host to Santa's Story Time, Elf School and a stage with Christmas themed entertainment.
