Newcastle mechanic confirmed as groom on new series of Married at First Sight UK

A Newcastle mechanic is heading down the aisle on the new series of Married at First Sight UK, with him being confirmed on the line-up for the new series of the hit E4 show.

Initially launching on Channel 4, MAFS has become way more explosive since it made the switch to E4 a few years ago and Michael isn't the only North East single to end up on it. A few years ago, sparks flew big time thanks to County Durham bride Nikita Jasmine, as she was instantly unimpressed with the matchmakers' choice of groom for her; before then storming out of their hotel room after a honeymoon row and then leaving the show altogether after a heated spat at one of the infamous dinner parties.

Last year, County Durham was represented once again, this time by Sean Malkin, whose pairing with on screen other half, Mark Kiley left viewers cynical from the get-go, with many MAFS fans condemning the experts' choices.

Married at First Sight UK will return for a new series later this month, with the line-up being announced at the weekend. And on it is Newcastle lad Kieran, a mechanic who has since downed tools to train as a circus clown. Kieran lives in a caravan with his beloved dog Hugo and days he is on the look out for someone petite and naturally beautiful that is also into music. It’s crucial that they are spontaneous and ambitious.

In a teaser for the new run of episodes, it has been revealed that Kieran, 28, ends up at the altar with Kristina, 31, a dog walker from Sussex. She claims she is looking for a tall, dark, cheeky chappy, someone who is fun and can match her energy levels. Kristina suffers with severe PMDD symptoms and hopes to meet someone who can support her and accept her, as this is a big part of her life. Single again, following two serious relationships, Kristina is focused on finding her forever person.
