Newcastle United handed transfer hint over the futures of Alexander Isak and Bruno Guimaraes

Newcastle United have been handed a timely transfer boost regarding the futures of Alexander Isak and Bruno Guimaraes.

Both players have been heavily linked with moves away from St James' Park this summer, with Isak first thought to be on Arsenal's wishlist. The Magpies are known to be running close to Financial Fair Play margins and Guimaraes's interest comes from Premier League champions, Manchester City.

Isak is set for a quiet summer with Sweden having not qualified for Euro 2024, but Guimaraes will represent Brazil at Copa America and United fans have begun to question whether the duo will be seen at the club next season. Newcastle's immediate plans are to keep hold of both.

Having launched their Adidas kit for the 2024/25 campaign earlier today, fans can see both players sporting the new black and white attire in promotional videos, perhaps hinting that Isak and Guimaraes are here to stay in the northeast.

One supporter positively wrote on social media: "Great to see Bruno and Isak heavily involved in the new kit launch, hopefully a positive sign."

Whilst exits seem to hint at plenty of moving parts, i explained just days ago that Guimaraes' situation would require plenty of back and forth between City and Newcastle and that his rumoured departure is still being viewed as 'highly unlikely'.

The report also states how the Gunners' rumoured liking of Isak is not up for discussion and insiders have revealed the deal has been given 'no chance' of happening at all this summer. Howe knows his side needs to improve but for now, it seems sensible to presume United will only let fringe players depart given the bigger picture.
