Newcastle United urged to make a move for £19 million Manchester United star
Newcastle United have been urged to make a move for a Manchester United winger once tipped to be the next big star at Old Trafford.
With Newcastle in the market for a new right-winger as the club looks to upgrade on Miguel Almiron and Jacob Murphy, Amad Diallo has been pushed as an option.
The 22-year-old, who has spent time on loan at Rangers and Sunderland, is struggling to hold down a first team place at Manchester United and with his contract up in the summer of 2025, it is felt that the Magpies could grab themselves a bargain.

A pacey winger who can play across the front three, Diallo impressed while at The Stadium of Light during the 2022-23 campaign and returned to Man United that summer but but only featured 12 times for Erik ten Hag's side last season.
Signed from Atalanta in 2019 for £19 million, big things were expected from Diallo and while he has impressed in glimpses, it is far from certain that he will be offered a new deal at Old Trafford.
Speaking on The Everything is Black and White Podcast, The Mirror's Simon Bird said that Diallo could be an option for The Magpies to consider.
"He did brilliantly at Sunderland, and I think with the right manager and in the right structure, he could be a really, really top player. His contract is up and Man United are obviously looking to renew it but if Amad Diallo is on a free come the summer or available in January, then you might be looking at that if he's not part of Man United's first team.
"He'd produce moments of magic [at Newcastle] - he's done all right for Man U when he's been on although he's not a regular. Diallo would be a bargain - to get hat kind of talent for very little would be would be a bargain."
Man United have an option to extend his deal by 12 months but that has not been taken up as of yet, but Diallo in the summer told the press he would like to stay at the club 'for life.'
Newcastle made a late move for Nottingham Forest's Anthony Elanga during the summer transfer window as well as been credited with interest in Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo.
