Newcastle's ex-MP Aaron Bell 'asked to leave' high-profile Conservative Party conference
Newcastle-under-Lyme's former Tory MP Aaron Bell was reportedly removed from a prominent event at the Conservative Party Conference. The ex-MP made headlines when he withdrew his candidacy for re-election mid-campaign citing "personal and family reasons".
He was present at the 1922 Committee Party, an affair organised by the website Conservative Home, on Sunday evening. However, witnesses say he was observed him being escorted out of the event, an instruction he complied with.
In announcing his decision to bow out of the May election race, Mr Bell highlighted that his tenure as an MP had demanded considerable "so many sacrifices" from his family, reports the Mirror.

"I am proud of the work we have done for individual constituents, even changing the law on behalf of one," he remarked.
Mr Bell resides in Newcastle-Under-Lyme with his wife Emily and their three children. The constituency was claimed by Labour in the general election, with Adam Jogee now serving as MP.
This week sees the Tories convening for their annual conference in Birmingham, where the quartet of candidates aiming to take over from Rishi Sunak are presenting their visions.
