Newly-Sparked Fire Prompts Evacuations in Santa Barbara County

A newly sparked vegetation fire burning in Santa Barbara County, California, prompted evacuations on Monday, September 6.

This footage by the Ventura County Fire Department shows an aerial view of the blaze, known as the Caballo Fire, as a helicopter drops flame retardant.

According to local fire authorities, the fire had burned through 50 acres, and was at zero percent containment as of Monday afternoon.
