A NEWPORT cycle track has been closed this afternoon (Thursday, October 13) to allow for emergency works.

The Newport to Cowes cycle track, from its junction with Manners View to its junction with Dodnor.

Island Roads says the emergency closure is due to subsidence along the route.

“Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the road is closed”, said an Island Roads spokesperson.
