New research has revealed the media outlets that the British public believe to be most anti-Brexit.

The YouGov poll, which surveyed a representative sample of the UK, revealed that The Guardian and Channel 4 news were among the lowest Brexit supporters – with a respective five and three percent of people believing they supported Britain leaving the EU.

The lowest came in the form of the i, with only three percent of people believing the Independent’s sister title to be pro-Brexit.

In contrast, some 40 percent of Brits believe that The Daily Mail is the most pro-Brexit newspaper in the UK.

The discovery comes 20 months after Britain voted to leave the European Union – with the Daily Mail previously coming under fire for a headline that proclaimed ‘enemies of the people’.

It referred to the judges who ruled that that the government could not trigger the process of leaving the European Union without parliamentary assent.

In second place came The Sun, Britain’s biggest selling newspaper, with 37 percent of people believing that it was the most ardent pro-Brexit establishment.

The full list also reveals that only eight percent of people believe the BBC to be pro-Brexit, despite a number of leading commentators accusing the corporation of a ‘Brexit bias’.

Last week, Labour peer Andrew Adonis also hit out at the BBC for the amount of airtime Nigel Farage was given on Question Time.

Anyone tell me how often Farage has been on BBC Question Time in last 2 years & whether anyone has appeared more often? Time for @ofcom to look at Brexit bias of BBC, esp BBC’s constant promotion of Farage, whose party now has 2% support! @bbcquestiontime’, he wrote.

The BBC is yet to directly respond.
