Jorgie Porter has admitted she made the best of a bad situation after being paired with the ex boyfriend of her best pal, Sylvain Longchambon on Dancing On Ie.
The Hollyoak's star was paired with pro skater Sylvain Longchambon for the all-stars series, an awkward combo as Sylvain used to date Jorgie's best friend and Hollyoak's co-star Jennifer Metcalfe. Their romance came to an end though when Sylvain skated with Coronation Street actress Samia Ghadie for last year's show, with the two later developing a romance.
Jorgie joked about the complicated love triangle in her VT in last night's DOI, when she found out that she would be skating with him in the competition:
"Are you serious? Does this mean I’ll be his new girlfriend?". She later jokingly added:
"If he doesn’t try it on with me I’ll be really angry."
However, Samia didn't appear to find it very funny as she was reported by the Mail Online as tweeting: "Jorgie needn’t worry…He won’t go for burgers." Although the tweet has since been deleted.
Whilst Samia may have deleted the comment that she supposedly made about Jorgie, Samia responded and retweeted messages from fans who took to Twitter about host Phillip Schofield' comments when he said: "Jorgie’s hoping to win the main prize this time, I’m not talking about Sylvain – obviously."
Both Phil and Jorgie addressed the Twitter furore when the Hollyoaks star appeared on This Morning today. Phillip mused: "The sense of humour wheels all fell off last night which I thought was a little bit of a shame, especially on Twitter, and it got a little controversial and I just thought 'come on everybody, lighten up' its light-hearted ribbing".
"We were giving Sylvain a bit of a hard time, but nothing that hasn't been said before and nothing that wasn't said in the VT". He then asked Jorgie if she thought he was being "harsh" on Sylvain.
Samia reportedly took a swipe at Jorgie on Twitter (WENN)
Jorgie diplomatically replied, "To be honest, I didn't really know what was going on... I was just really looking at him really." Phillip said, "So did it make any difference that you had that different partner with that sort of back story?" Jorgie said, "...what can you do? The only way I handled it, was how I handled it, and that's all I can say..."
Jorgie went on to admit that she was "gutted" to be voted out of the competition so early: "We had so much more to do and prove skating wise... I'm gutted we didn't get to do skinny love, I would have loved to have done that. He's amazing."
