She's just been nominated for a Golden Globe for her hit Bond theme tune 'Skyfall' and now it's emerged that Adele recorded the tune in just ten minutes! What a pro!
The hitmaker was approached by Bond producers and music producer Paul Epworth to sing the theme earlier this year and on Thursday (December 13) it picked up a nod for Best Original Song.
Now, Epworth has told Hollywood.com that the Brit singer was a true professional when recording the chart topping track:
"(The movie producers) said they wanted a dramatic ballad basically... and I rang her (Adele) up and said, 'It might be too dark'. And she said she loved it."
The pair then headed into the studio and the songwriter reveals Adele laid down the vocals in no time:
"Within 10 minutes, she put down most of the vocals. She had the lyrics ready in her head when she drove over. It was the most absurd thing. She's fast, but it was really quite phenomenal."
"She has an old soul. She never really mentioned she could sing the (Shirley) Bassey-esque slurs that she does in the opening... She has a lot of finesse and skill. She's not just a powerhouse, it's a lot of careful technique. That's why she's an amazing vocalist. It's all control."
Meanwhile Adele's theme is also hotly tipped to pick up an Oscar nomination. The Academy Motion Pictures are whittling down a list of 75 candidates to just five songs from films which have been released this year, with Adele, Katy Perry and Florence + The Machine all in the running...
