The Apprentice’s Karren Brady has really figured out how to dress her shape since starring on the hit BBC series, and has recently spoken out about how she ‘dresses herself thin’ with the right clothes.
And whilst most women battle with fad diets, exercise and beauty treatments to shed the pounds, business savvy Karren has a few other tricks up her sleeve, believing that dressing yourself slimmer can really make all the difference.
The 43-year-old size 12 football club boss has recently revealed that learning to work with your body shape and picking the right outfits can help ''shave off 10lbs.''
''When I was younger I spent my whole life wanting to be tall and skinny. And because I wasn’t, I was disappointed,'' she told Woman & Home magazine.
''The great thing about getting older is that I’ve come to accept my shape – and embrace it. The other great thing is I’ve stopped making the fatal mistake of following fashion – I now try to follow what suits me.''
She went on: ''What works for me is a nice dress; quite 60s or Mad Men style. If you understand what suits you, the right outfit can shave off ten pounds - for me that very much means in at the waist and then out.
And Karren revealed one of her fave designers: ''A-line is my perfect shape. I really like designers such as Roland Mouret, whose dresses are quite structured with a slight stretch and a zip.''
Check out the full interview in the August Issue of Woman and Home magazine, where Karren graces the front cover in a sexy pink and orange dress.
