Benedict Cumberbatch And Damian Lewis Representing The Brits At Critics' Choice Awards

Benedict Cumberbatch and Damian Lewis will be flying the flag for Blighty at the 2013 American Critics’ Choice Television Awards on June 10th in LA.

Fresh from his big screen success in Star Trek Into Darkness, Cumberbatch is up for Best Actor in a Movie or Mini-series for his performance in Parade’s End while Lewis is once again being honoured with a Best Actor in a Drama nomination for his name-making performance in TV hit Homeland.

He faces stiff competition from fellow Brits Matthew Rhys and Andrew Lincoln for their performances in The Americans and The Walking Dead, respectively. Other nominess include Kevin Spacey, Bryan Cranston and Timothy Olyphant.

Damian's Homeland co-star Clare Danes is also up for a nomination in the Best Actress in a Drama category.

Meanwhile Cumberbatch will battle with huge Hollywood names Michael Douglas, Matt Damon, Al Pacino and Brits Toby Jones and Dominic West.

A host of other Brits have also been honoured including new mum Sienna Miller, Imelda Staunton, Romola Garai and Rebecca Hall.

Gordon Ramsey and Cat Deeley are against each other for the best reality host gong while Downton Abbey faces Homeland, The Americans, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones and The Good Wife for Best Drama.
