Big Brother’s sinister scientific experiments were seen to continue tonight as the lab-rats underwent their final challenges in an attempt to achieve a luxury shopping budget.
Caroline and Becky were first up in the challenges, attempting to achieve a giant lump of cheese from the “impossible maze”, a name that did little to inspire housemates as Becky was seen to quickly shout the pun-tastic safe phrase “I camembert it!”. Caroline’s efforts were equally unimpressive, losing the challenge very quickly. If she had equalled her efforts in moaning with that of determination then she may have fared better!
Ultimately, this experiment seemed fairly light-hearted, a far cry from the final challenge that the lab rats faced, with Benedict, Luke A and Lydia being tested to see how far they were willing to go when commanding the electrocution of fellow housemates Arron, Adam and Lauren.
Despite Lydia initially admitting that she had no qualms in delivering electric shocks, she and her fellow housemate scientists ultimately refused to give the ultimate level of what transpired to be a false electric shock, meaning that the house was rewarded with a large shopping budget.
The housemates were also faced with the dramatic bombshell of a rules u-turn, with Big Brother reversing their decision to allow the discussion of nominations. It provoked massive uproar amongst the angsty housemates, with birthday girl Lydia claiming that the news had made for a “s**t birthday”, whilst Benedict was seen to rant his frustrations in the diary room.
Lydia’s diva like behaviour was hardly a surprise, but she seemed extremely petulant when Big Brother called her to the diary room, retorting that they could “do one”. She was eventually seen to brighten up as Big Brother rewarded her with a birthday phone call from celebrity fiancée Andy-Scott Lee. She was overwhelmed by the call, telling Scott-Lee that she wanted to “marry [Scott Lee] this year”. It all seemed a tad dramatic, but would you really expect anything else from Lydia?
