The Next Cat Deeley Or Steve Jones? Caroline Flack Launches US TV Career

Caroline Flack may be a big fish in a little pond over here with her gig as host of the X Factor spin-off show, the Xtra Factor, but now the TV personality is heading to a bigger pond as she will be partnering up with X Factor frontman to host the BAFTAs for E! Network.

Speaking to The Sun about her new gig stateside, the TV star, who is also known for her romance with One Direction band member Harry Styles, said:

"I can’t hide my excitement about hosting the Bafta coverage for E! with Dermot.

"It’s the first show I have presented which will screen in the USA, as well as Australia and across Europe. It’s all a bit nerve-racking but to be asked to front a show that is so popular in America is amazing. “

"I love working in the UK and would never want to be away for too long. I have the dream job! But to work in the US as well as the UK would be great.”

However, as Caroline prepares to jet off to the US of A, we thought we'd take a look at what Caroline's future in the US could be...

She could have the luck and follow in the footsteps of Cat Deeley. For many of us in the late nineties, Cat Deeley was Ant and Dec's pal on Saturday morning show SMTV Live, but the star's career really took off when she made the move to the States and fronted popular dance show, So You Think You Can Dance.

But will she be as successful as Cat Deeley? (WENN)

Since then, the star has gone on to be nominated for a couple of Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Programme.

Or (and we hope this doesn't happen) Caroline could face the same fate as Steve Jones, the hot Welsh TV star who was drafted in by Simon Cowell to front the X Factor USA. Sadly, US fans didn't take to kindly to Steve and as the show ended so did his job on the show.

And it went from bad to worse when Steve got on the wrong side of Hollywood vixen Megan Fox when he asked her about the speculation surrounding her pregnancy.
