Channing Tatum Turns Pap At Cannes As He Arrives For Foxcatcher Photocall

Channing Tatum may be known for his acting roles, but the hunk showed off a new talent as he hit the Cannes Film Festival today, turning photographer on the group of paps.

The Magic Mike star joined his Foxcatcher co-stars Steve Carell and Mark Ruffalo on the Riveria for a photocall on Monday, but it was soon the media who were in the frame thanks to Channing's camera skills.

Foxcatcher is one of the most talked about films at the festival, and is tipped as one of the frontrunners to win the prestigious Palme d'Or award on Sunday night.

The film tells the true story of Olympic Wrestling champion Mark Schultz (Channing), and his friendship with John du Pont (Carell) the multimillionaire paranoid schizophrenic who killed his brother, Olympic Champion Dave Schultz (Ruffalo).

Steve is almost unrecognisable in his role playing du Pont, with the comedy star hotly tipped for an Oscar nod next year.

Channing meanwhile has also won applause from the critics for one of his most complex roles to date, which comes amid the announcement that he'll soon be joining  the X-Men team as Gambit.
