Many people regret getting their loved ones tattooed onto their body parts, especially if they end up splitting, but Zayn has insisted that he doesn't regret having the tattoo done.

"Of course not. It's not a direct portrait but it's all the things I like about her," he said. "I didn't tell her before I had it done and just surprised her with it when I came back from the States one day."

Describing Perrie's reaction to his latest piece of body art, Zayn continued: "She was shocked at first but loves it now. She thinks I'm crazy, like everyone else does. To be fair, I am a little bit crazy... I'm happy to be labelled the crazy one of the group."

One Direction are currently preparing for the world premiere of This Is Us, which has been directed by Morgan Spurlock.

The 20-year-old and his bandmates - Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Niall Horan, will be attending the premiere of the film in Leicester Square, where over 50,000 excited fans are said to be waiting for them.

Despite his massive success, Zayn also admitted that if he hadn't got into One Direction, he'd probably be getting a degree in English Literature.

"If I wasn't doing this, I'd be at uni. I wanted to, and still quite want to, do an English degree," he said.

"It's frustrating because I don't get any time to read on tour. I don't get time to call my mum and dad, never mind get stuck into a book. As soon as I try, I fall asleep.

"I do want to get a Kindle though, perhaps that would make it a bit easier."
