Gwenyth Paltrow & Chris Martin Relocating From London To Los Angeles


Gwyneth Paltrow and husband Chris Martin appear to be making their move across the pond.

The couple has recently shelled out $10.45 million on a luxurious compound in Brentwood, Calif., and have been inquiring about private schools in the neighborhood for their two children, Apple, 8, and Moses, 6, according to

They actress-musician jet-setting coupling are about to make relocate from gloomy home base of London to a sunnier Southern California very soon. 

“Chris and Gwyneth have wanted to move to Los Angeles for a while,” a source tells the website. “Gwyneth spends a lot time between the UK and the U.S. and she’s exhausted with all the traveling. The purpose of buying the lavish home in Brentwood was to make that a semi-permanent base."

Her mom and actress, Blyther Danner, has long time been a resident of Los Angeles, which the Martin-Paltrow family will now more frequently see after their transatlantic move.

“She also spend a lot of time away from her mom, Blythe, and wants to be closer to her as she gets older,” the source explained. “Chris was very understanding and is willing to give living in Los Angeles a chance because he’s always loved the city. Chris' band won't be working on a new album for at least another year so he has some breathing space to kick back.”

As far as their children’s education, “they both want to make sure the kids are settled and can get a good education."

In June, the married couple of eight years snapped up the dream mansion designed by American architect Windsor Smith, which is 8,000 sq ft, has six bedrooms and eight bathrooms, a large courtyard that mirrors an English manor.
