Harry Styles is eager to secure a place on Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic maiden voyage to space next year, it's been reported.
The One Direction singer is so keen to get on board the flight that he is reported to have shelled out £150,000 to get a seat. However, while the offer is generous, it doesn't guarantee the singer a place - as he has left his bid pretty late in the day.

A source revealed to The Daily Star: "Harry heard about the voyage a while ago but something triggered his interest in the past few weeks.
"He’s got no idea if it’s realistic with it being so close – with his obligations to the band – but he’s willing to move things around to make it happen.
"Unfortunately for Harry you need more than money to get a seat at this point as it’s already so late in the game."
The A-list have been clambering to grab a place on the unique flight since last year, which already includes passengers Justin Bieber, Brad Pitt and Ashton Kutcher.
It would be a welcomed break for the Little Things singer, who recently admitted that his hectic 1D schedule had left him feeling drained, telling InStyle magazine "I always feel kind of out of breath."

Despite the obstacle, the teen heartthrob is relying on boss Simon Cowell to work his magic and make the voyage happen.
"If anyone has the contacts to make it happen it’s Simon. Harry is happy to fork out the cash for it – he’s loaded. He just needs Simon to help him seal the deal," the source added.
