I'm A Celebrity 2023: Josie Gibson greets Nigel Farage with hilarious Brexit joke
Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly reunite to host the ITV jungle show
I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here has got underway as the famous faces have touched down in Australia for the show.
Off to a tough start, Nigel Farage was left stranded in the Australian outback alongside fellow stars Josie Gibson and Nella Rose. It was scorching hot and all they could see was the red desert surrounding them.
Minutes after meeting, Gibson couldn't resist making a cheeky joke when she met Nigel Farage.
Farage said: "It wasn't gonna be easy." To which Gibson responded: "It can't be any worse than Brexit."
Clearly amused, a laughing Farage said: "Didn't take long did it? Didn't take long. I had a feeling we'd get a bit of that!"
Social media went wild over the moment - with one fan writing: "His first encounter with Josie was hilarious. She told him being in the outback was worse than Brexit."
"Josie - my winner already - to Farage, 'can't be worse than Brexit' IMMEDIATELY."
"Josie saying 'Can't be worse than Brexit' to Farage moments after meeting him is absolute icon behaviour."
"Josie to Nigel Farage... killing it Jose!"
Farage has been an unpopular signing but how will the rest of camp get along with him? Already Farage has sparked a hilarious reaction from his campmate Sam Thompson.
But Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly were getting the jokes in early as they introduced the line up.
Donnelly said: "Now Nigel is not just known for his controversial political career, he's got his own show on GB News...
"We would like to apologise to all of the GB News viewers."
The cheeky presenters joked "sorry Keith, sorry Linda", implying only a few viewers would be missing Farage during his jungle stint.

Josie Gibson looking for love
Never forget Katie Price and Peter Andre found love with each other in the jungle, even if it didn't last forever on the outside world.
This Morning presenter Josie Gibson admitted she was very much on the lookout for love.
She was quick to ask Fred Sirieix whether he was behind the matchmaking process on his show First Dates.
While Sirieix doesn't pair people up in real life, he was willing to give it a shot for Gibson. A very cheeky Sirieix kept shouting to the camp: "Is anybody single?"
Gibson was left very red-faced as she insisted: "I'm not desperate!"

Nigel Farage sparked a reaction in camp
Arguably the show's most controversial signing, Nigel Farage sparked a hilarious reaction in the camp.

In a piece to camera, Thompson made a cheeky observation about Farage's trousers.
He jested: "Nigel, you know when someone has got their trousers hitched up real high. I'm like, yep! Fair play mate."
Farage revealed he was excited for his jungle journey to get started.
"Stunning," he said of the camp. "It's a camping adventure."
Elsewhere, Jamie Lynn Spears admitted she didn't recognise Farage when in discussion with Josie Gibson.
Gibson explained he was an "ex politician".

They were led down in transparent boxes where insects were then poured on them.
The little sister of pop star Britney Spears looked absolutely horrified as green ants were dumped on her.
A star was dangled in front of Nick Pickard's mouth while he was covered in spiders and other creepy crawlies. He didn't lose heart as he found it difficult to get the star into his mouth.
"This is vile," he spat during the trial.
Then Spears and Humes had to work out the word that was in their box.
After the trial, Ant and Dec teased the star for struggling to get the star in his mouth. Pickard said: "It kept bouncing out. Everything was steaming up."
Spears praised him, saying: "He's such a stud for doing that."
Ant and Dec also grilled Spears over whether she had any regrets about signing up to the show after she revealed her terror.
She responded: "No I'm in it now!"

But Sirieix jested it was too late. "It is no more, it has been squashed," he said.

Among the sea of comments, one wrote: "Is Fred wearing a wig? #ImACeleb or had a hair transplant looks different."

Nella Rose struggles to get tokens
Nella Rose found the task difficult (ITV)
There were plenty of screams from influencer Rose when she stuck her head into the box with snakes.
Nigel Farage and Josie Gibson had to move the circles using only their tongue. When Rose revealed she was struggling, Farage tried to give her some advice, "Use different angles."
But Rose didn't manage to get any tokens.
Meanwhile, Gibson was dunking her head into a barrel of slime.
Farage and Gibson both got three tokens, getting the team six minutes.
"Josie you look gorgeous," Nella said.
