'It'll Be Sooner Rather Than Later': Black Sabbath To Record Final Album Next Year?

Black Sabbath might all be well into their sixties but it seems the group aren't ready to call it a day just yet, following reports that the band are hoping to record one final album next year, which will be followed by their last-ever tour.

The group will reportedly work on their new material with Rick Rubin, who also produced their 2013 album, 13.

The longtime rockband, which is now comprised of Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Lommi and Geezer Butler, last performed together in London's Hyde Park on July 4th, a show which was also assumed to be the group's last. But now it seems the heavy metal group are aiming to set off on one final tour before throwing in the towel for good.

"I want to do it before I'm 70. Time isn't on our side," Ozzy told Metal Hammer. "I believe Rick Rubin is going to do it with us again. It'll be sooner rather than later. I don't know if we'll be writing in England or L.A., but I'll fly to the f**king moon if I have to."

The star also gushed about how great the band had been together when they worked on their last album. He added: "The whole Sabbath experience this time around was great. We all made friends, we didn't f**k around, we all knew that we had a job to do, and we did it. It was a lot of fun. So we're going to do one more album, and a final tour.

"Once the dust setlled after the last tour we started discussing the idea, because we were getting asked about it all the time."
