It was a bit of a disappointment when Leonardo Dicaprio didn't show up for the premiere of James Cameron's Titanic 3D last night, but now his absence has been explained by none other than the director himself.
We all would have loved to have seen a reunion with Kate Winslet 15 years later on the red carpet at the Royal Albert Hall (yes we know they did Revolutionary Road!), but it wasn't meant to be as Leo was kept away with filming commitments.
According to OK! magazine, Cameron said: "I wish Leo could be here but he's shooting a film. It would have been great for Leo to be here, to be part of the celebrations."
He also added that Leo was hardly complimentary about himself in the parts that he had seen of the 3D version.
"I didn't show him the whole film but I showed him 18 minutes of it a few months ago," Cameron continued, "It was a good reunion for us but great to watch his reaction. He couldn't believe it. He said to me, 'I'm such a young punk. Look at me.' He was practically crawling under the seat. It was a good moment."
Hollywood Reporter has reported that Dicaprio is working on 'Django Unchained' which is currently being filmed in Louisiana in the US.
Well at least Kate was there! Check out our pictures...
