JLS back safe sex campaign

Boy band Jls have embarked on a tour of schools in the UK this week to highlight the importance of safe sex.

The Beat Again hitmakers, who have their own range of condoms, are visiting areas most affected by teenage pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) in a bid to raise awareness of sexual health.

Bandmember Marvin Humes tells the Daily Star, "When I was growing up I often didn't know where to go for questions about sex.

"We want to change that and raise awareness amongst our fans. You shouldn't be afraid or embarrassed to bring up the subject of safe sex. Carrying a condom should be the norm."

The band's visits were scheduled to mark National Condom Week, which began on Monday.
