There's a VERY big rumour flying around Hollywood that Justin Timberlake is set to star in the upcoming 'Baywatch' movie... and we really hope it's true!
Justin Timberlake has already flexed his acting muscles in 'The Social Network', 'Friends With Benefits' and 'In Time', but we have yet to see him strut his stuff in red trunks.
The movie, based on the original 90s Baywatch series, promises plenty of sun, sea, surf and slo-mo running and now, thanks to casting rumours, the promise of Justin Timberlake rescuing squirming damsels from whatever marine-based distress they may be experiencing.
According to sources at Perez Hilton, Justin would play an ex-Olympic swimmer who, after his gold medal dreams are dashed, is forced to become a humble lifeguard.
He'd be stepping into David Hasselhoff's famous trunks, although it is yet to be confirmed whether The Hoff and Pamela Anderson may also appear in the film in small cameo roles.
Despite seeming a little bit of a fluffy flick for Justin to star in, there's no denying that it has big blockbuster potential; after all, the script has been penned by Peter Toolan, creator of Rescue Me, and it's apparently very similar in tone to Channing Tatum's '21 Jump Street'.
