Kanye West will allegedly avoid prosecution over last week's scuffle with the paparazzo.
It's thought that the lack of evidence backing up the photographer's claim that Kanye tried to steal his camera will lead to the case fizzling out.
TMZ claim that the District Attorney won't charge the rapper with attempted robbery if it can't be substantially backed up, so when police send on the file it is likely to be rejected fairly quickly.
The site adds that, following that, the case would be handed over to the LA City Attorney in case a criminal battery prosecution can be enforced. However, Kanye is apparently willing to buy his way out of the predicament in what is legally referred to as a 'civil compromise'.

Kanye has been getting himself into trouble with photographers frequently over recent months - and was also filmed aggressively telling one to "never talk" to him.
He's also said to be petrified for the wellbeing of his daughter, North - with a source recently telling Now: "It may seem slightly paranoid, but he's deadly serious about it.
"Kanye's terrified they could be the target of a kidnap attempt - or worse. There are a lot of crazy people out there and he keeps saying he'll do whatever it takes to keep his family safe."
The insider added: "He's always been a worrier. But now he's a father, he says he isn't prepared to take any chances - with anything.
"That's why he's planning to employ body doubles to act as decoys for the three of them."
