Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William's first child, Prince George of Cambridge might be the heir to the throne but according to insiders his royal parents are determined to protect their son and give him a "normal" childhood.
The Duke and Duchess became parents for the first time last week, welcoming their first son on July 22 and have since been at Kate's parents' house in Bucklebury, Berkshire where they're expected to stay for a few weeks as they get to grips with parenthood.
Taking their son to the Middleton's family home rather than staying at the lavish Kensington Palace is sign the couple are hoping to give George as a normal an upbringing as possible for a future monarch, insiders claim.
“William wants to raise George out of the spotlight as much as possible and give him a somewhat normal childhood,” a source told Us Weekly.
Kate's decision to also lean on family rather than hiring a nurse to help her with baby George also shows the couple are determined to be "hands on parents".
“For them to go back to Bucklebury shows that Kate wants the security and comfort of her family instead of a huge ream of staff,” maternity nurse Sarah Dixon told People.

Prince William will make his first public appearance on Saturday at a charity polo match in Ascot, Berkshire just a 45 minute drive from the Middletons' £7.4 million mansion alongside brother Prince Harry. Following the match he's set to return to work as a Search and Rescue RAF pilot in North Wales after his two weeks paternity leave has come to an end.
The Duchess is expected to stay on at her parents house for the next few weeks, which will no doubt be to the delight of grandmother Carole. Speaking outside of the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital after meeting her first grandchild, she told reporters her first cuddle had been "amazing," and that looking after a new born was "all coming back" to her.
