Kate Middleton And Prince William 'To Take Prince George's Official Picture Themselves'

Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William will be releasing the first official photo of their baby son, Prince George later this month. But don't expect a stuffy portrait from the thoroughly modern couple because according to insiders the Duchess will be choosing a candid snap taken by one of the family during the baby's first precious few weeks.

The future king arrived after much excitement on July 22, with the world getting to meet Prince George just over 24 hours later when his mother and father left the Lindo Wing, St Mary's Hospital. Kate and Wills spent their first few weeks getting to know their son at the Duchess' parents home in Bucklebury, Berkshire and according to insiders it is from photos taken during this time that the couple will pick to be released to the public, a new report claims.

“One of the options they are looking at is releasing a couple of family photos they have taken themselves," a royal source reportedly told The Mirror. “Kate has a great eye for pictures and wants the first official ones of George to be natural and in a relaxed environment.”

Kate and Wills went for Mario Testino for their engagement pictures, but apparently want something a little less formal for baby George.

The Duke and Duchess are said to be "hands on parents" with little George, with William joking about needing to pick up nappies at his first post baby appearance at a polo match in Ascot earlier this month, but are still planning to take on help, namely the Prince's own former nanny.

According to reports, the couple are desperate to get Jessie Webb, 71, to come on board and help them with Prince George in the first few months.

“They both accept the view that they won’t be able to do it all," a source told The Sunday People. "There is also a feeling that Kate might lay herself open to criticism if she is seen letting her mother have too much influence."

“William has fond memories of Jessie and they’ve put the idea to her that she comes back. I think she’s very flattered," the insider added.
