The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton is set to visit the Willows Primary School, on the estate where Channel Four drama Shameless is filmed.
The popular TV drama now in it's 11th series, revolving around the lives of the down and out Gallagher family on the fictional Chatsworth estate, is shot in the deprived Wythenshawe area in Manchester.
The Duchess will be launching a new initiative by charity Place2Be during her visit to the school, which was rated outstanding by inspectors, on April 23 and will also be meeting pupils and families.
Benita Refson, chief executive of Place2Be, said according to The Mirror: "We are delighted to announce this collaboration with Action on Addiction which will allow our two organisations to reach even more of the children and families that need our help and to provide them with expert support, ensuring that they face better prospects and brighter futures.
"We are tremendously grateful that HRH The Duchess of Cambridge is supporting this project and attending its launch at one of Place2Be's primary schools in Manchester."

The Duchess, now nearly six months pregnant, is set to continue her royal appearances until a month before her July due date, according to her royal spokesperson.
"There isn't a set final work date for the Duchess but her last public engagement will likely be in June," a spokesperson confirmed to EntertainmentWise, "she will continue with her usual flow and pace of work until then."
We wonder if Kate's a fan of the show?
