Kim Kardashian finally stepped out for the first time in weeks on Friday, showing off the extent of her weight loss in just under two months during a trip to the doctors with beau Kanye and baby North.
The Keeping Up With Kardashians star looked healthy and happy, but Nutritionist Vicki Edgson spoke to EntertainmentWise about the dangers for celebrity women who try to lose their baby weight too soon after giving birth.

"I think the biggest problem is it become almost competitive. So it’s who can lose the weight fastest post baby etc of course it isn’t healthy," says Vicki.
Adding that she wouldn't advise dieting for the first two months, she adds: "I would say to put your own needs and your baby’s needs first. Worry about the press and the photos and everything else later."
"I think 10-12 weeks post birth you shouldn’t even be thinking about cutting back on things. It’s a very important time for the quality of the breast milk and for the healing and repair of the own body."
While we’re sure Kim’s weight loss is down to a sensible health routine and the help of fitness guru Tracy Anderson, sources have revealed the reason the reality star is staying out of the public is because she wants to lose more weight.
"The real reason Kim doesn’t want to go out in public yet is because she feels like she needs to lose more weight. She is having a difficult time losing the baby weight and feels really conscious about how huge she looks," a source told HollywoodLife.
"It’s silly because every new mom gains weight, but for some reason Kim doesn’t feel good enough to be seen in public."
