Kristen Stewart has opened up in a new interview for her movie 'On The Road' and how the Jack Kerouac novel inspired her own life. The actress hit the headlines earlier this year after she had an affair with married director Rupert Sanders, behind the back of her boyfriend Robert Pattinson.
The 22-year-old was half of one of the most famous couples on the planet when she cheated with the 41 year-old director, who she met on the set of 'Snow White And The Huntsman' and in a new interview, she hints at why she might have gone after Sanders.
Speaking to the The LA Daily News she said: "I read it at a stage of life where you realize that you can choose the people who surround you.
"You can fall into the habit of being comfortable. There are people that are nice to be around, but they don't challenge you.”
She went on: “Those are not the people I wanted in my life.”

“I want people to throw me off a little bit so I can figure out why. After I read the book, I thought I needed to find people that I feel like I needed to chase after. And I wanted it to be hard to keep up with them. So it wasn't difficult to stay committed to the movie."
Was Rupert Sanders someone Kristen felt like she could “chase”? Did the actress lose interest in her “comfortable” relationship with Rob? We'll probably never know, but it sounds like Rob better keep Kristen on her toes if he wants to keep her interested!
