Kylie Minogue Recieves Honorary Degree

Kylie Minogue has become the proud owner of an honorary degree, given to her by Anglia Ruskin University for her work in promoting breast cancer awareness.
The star, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 and got the all clear a year later, attended the event in Essex yesterday to pick up her award.

Speaking of her degree, which she collected whilst wearing the traditional University gown and hat, Kylie said: "I was incredibly honoured by today’s ceremony and it was an inspiration to be amongst the graduates at Anglia Ruskin University.
"Hopefully my award will help to inspire both the researchers into breast cancer and those affected by it.
Lord Ashcroft KCMG, Chancellor of Anglia Ruskin, added: “We make honorary awards to individuals of extraordinary talent who have made an outstanding contribution to their chosen field of endeavour. We hope that the recipients of these honorary awards will serve as examples to our graduates.”
