Liam Payne has praised his best friend Andy Samuels as "invincible" after he was injured in a fire at the One Direction star's home on Monday night. Taking to Twitter the One Direction star had admitted he was "so happy" his BFF was on the mend following an explosion at his $2 million penthouse.
Firefighters were called to the scene at the Canary Wharf penthouse in east London in the early evening 30 people forced to flee the building. According to the report by The Mirror, Liam was inside his flat when the blaze broke out, which destroyed 80% of his balcony and took 35 firefighters to put out.
Liam, who was unharmed in the accident, accompanied his friend to hospital and after returning to Twitter last night, admitted he was relieved his friend was on the mend. He responded to a fan who asked how Andy was doing: "He's doing really well I'm just so happy he's gunna be ok no one wants to see there best mate like this," (sic)
He then directly tweeted Andy calling him invincible: "@AndySamuels31 the invincible man"
Earlier this week Andy's family praised Liam for his bravery during the incident, with his step-father quoted by The Mirror as saying: We are so grateful to Liam because he saved [Andy's] life.
“The lantern just exploded as Andy was lighting it and it took the full force of the flames. Liam helped him by beating out the flames and dousing him with water. He acted quickly and swiftly."

He added: “What happened was absolutely awful. My son is very poorly. I’ve spoken to Liam on the phone and he told me exactly what happened. He is very shocked himself.
"It’s bad enough but it could have been a lot worse.”
Andy’s 12-year-old sister Harriet also spoke out, saying: “I want to thank Liam for saving my brother.”
