Lindsay Lohan wants to star in her own television sitcom.
The movie’s star’s performance as Elizabeth Taylor in TV film ‘Liz & Dick’ aired on Sunday in the United States and didn’t get good reviews from critics.
A source told RadarOnline.com: "Lindsay has asked her manager and agent to look into getting her her own television sitcom. Lindsay feels that the small screen would be a great way for her to revitalise her acting career and that a comedy would be the best bet.”
The actress thinks it’s the perfect way to win over fans again after her friend Charlie Sheen did a similar thing.
The insider added: “Lindsay feels most comfortable doing comedy and it was Charlie Sheen that told her she should do it.
“Charlie told Lindsay that it was an easy way to make very good money and help her to get her movie career back on track. Lindsay is loving the idea of having her own sitcom and would love to play someone in a story based on her crazy life."
LiLo’s dad, Michael Lohan, took to Twitter at the weekend to defend his daughter’s creative skills.
He wrote: "They know nothing about @lindsaylohan talent! She has more talent in her pinky then all of them together.
"You proved the critics wrong @LindsayLohan you are one of the best, so gifted, so amazing! Now apply it ALL! God bless you! And our family!"
