London Fashion Week Begins, But Who'll Be Sitting Front Row?

The fashion pack descends on London this Friday to kick start the hottest week in any budding fashionista’s calendar London Fashion Week. Designers, models and style conscious stars will spend the next five days treading the streets of the capital in search of the latest trends, but who can we expect?

London will see a mix of A list stars and uber trendy hipsters. Last season Alexa Chung, Nicola Roberts, Olivia Palermo, Poppy Delevingne, and Pixie Geldof were just a few names to take the best seats in the house.

February’s Burberry Show attracted Clemence Poesy, Eddie Redmayne and Rosie Huntington Whiteley while Michelle Williams and Downton Abbey’s Michelle Dockery sat front row at Mulberry.

The most celeb packed shows, come from Burberry, Christopher Kane and the Vivienne Westwood while Topshop, who show Sunday never fail to excite, with Editor in Chief of Vogue magazine, Anna Wintour dropping into their last show.

This year the high street’s biggest store has promised a Facebook themed show, mixing social networking with high street fashion.

"We want to take the energy and the excitement of our iconic Oxford Street store to millions of people all over the world through," Justin Cooke, chief marketing officer told The Guardian.

"It's social, it's commerce and it's entertainment all rolled into one."

But Topshop isn’t the hottest ticket in town on Sunday. The Middleton sisters’ designer of choice Alice Temperley, has her Temperley London show as well that day and expect much attention in case of an appearance from Pippa, who attended this time last year.

While it might be all about fashion, it seems the success of the London 2012 Games to have made a last impression of designers, with Libby Banks editor of claiming “Britishness” was once again cool.

She said: “I think we have got a new confidence.”

"After the summer that we've had, I expect that designers will channel it into their work, and we'll see a celebration of Britishness and also a confidence to do something completely different and new.”

We can’t wait!
