Margot Robbie looked unrecogniseable as she walked the red carpet at the 86th Academy Awards, held at the Dolby Theatre last night, with the actress ditching her trademark blonde locks to unveil a much darker, gothic look.
Margot originally dyed her hair brunette for a new movie role, but she went one step further for the celeb-filled awards ceremony, showing off an even darker look. Quite a change from being the Aussie blonde bombshell that we all fell in love with in The Wolf Of Wall Street!

Posing with her hands on her hips, Margot teamed her 'do, that she wore curly and loose, with lashings of mascara and dark red lipstick, adding to the gothic style feel.
She wore a black strapless Saint Laurent by Heidi Slimane gown that featured a beaded bodice and bow detailing on the back for the bash and despite it not being the most flattering look from the front, her slim waist was highlighted as she turned to the side to pose for photographers.

Last night marked Robbie's very first Oscars experience and she took to her WhoSay account to share a snap of herself getting ready in her hotel room earlier on in the day, laughing and joking with her style team.
The actress' shocking new look has divided Twitter, with some saying that Margot managed to look her usual stunning self, leaving others to say that she's made a huge mistake by dying those tresses.
One Twitter user posted: "Why did Margot Robbie go brunette for the oscars?! It looks awful!" whilst another added: "Margot Robbie was born to be blonde, end of story! #Oscars"
However, she does have SOME fans out there, with one posting on the social networking site: "Margot Robbie was absolutely stunning at the Oscars" with another posting: "I have the biggest girl crush on @MargotRobbie. From watching her on Neighbors to being at the Oscars. 👌🏆" (sic)
