After weeks of speculation, Mel B has been confirmed as a guest judge for this year's X Factor tryouts.
She follows Rita Ora, Leona Lewis, Nicole Scherzinger and former Spice Girls bandmate Geri Haliwell in the role.
Anastacia, Rod Stewart and Tinie Tempah have also been linked to the role for future sessions.
Speaking to Digital Spy, the 'Feels So Good' hitmaker said: "I'm so, so, so excited to be a guest judge for The X Factor in Manchester.
"Being a Northern girl I believe there's lots of amazing talent in the North of England. Go the Northerners and don't let me down!"
She continued: "I am coming to find the winner! I love my job as a judge on The X Factor Australia but it will be great to sit on the panel in the UK. Britain is and always will be my home and first love."
It had previously been alleged that Geri feels Mel is being "disloyal" over her role on the show, because the 'Look At Me' star is desperate to bag the job full-time.
Manchester auditions are held on Tuesday June 5, Wednesday June 6 and Thursday June 7.
Scherzinger is believed to be the frontrunner for the permanent position alongside Gary Barlow, Tulisa and Louis Walsh, though Simon Cowell is allegedly keen to book Anastacia.
