Mystery Author Scores Seven Figure Book Deal For Fifty Shades of Grey Style Novel

'Twilight' fan fiction 'Fifty Shades of Grey' has been an unprecedented literary success, but it seems as if the book may have some competition from ANOTHER erotic 'Twilight' imagining...

We wonder if Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have had time to read the re-worked and sexed-up 'Twilight' amidst all these pesky infidelity rumours?

Fans of the 'Fifty Shades' books (we know you're out there!) will definitely want to take a look at 'Gabriel's Inferno', a novel which also began its life as a piece of 'Twilight' fan fiction.

We're presuming that original story ideas are pretty hard to come by these days!

'Gabriel's Inferno' and the sequel 'Gabriel's Rapture' tells the story of Professor Gabriel Emerson, a Dante scholar who "uses his notorious good looks and sophisticated charm to gratify his every whim, but is secretly tortured by his dark past" and becomes romantically involved with his "sweet and innocent" graduate student.

Sound familiar?

The romance, ultimately, "sends him on a journey in which his past and his present collide" - although nobody's mentioned whether or not he uses a whip and handcuffs as he does it.

Strangely enough, the 'Gabriel' series was published back in April 2011 and the books have consistently placed among the top 100 bestselling titles at Amazon - how have they not made as much of an impact on the world as the 'Fifty Shades' series?
