Conservative MP Nadine Dorries is the first celebrity to be voted off hit show I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! as the results of the elimination were revealed in tonight’s episode.
However, the MP wasn’t surprised at all that she was the first to be kicked off. As the results of the first elimination were announced to the camp, Nadine didn’t seem at all shocked that she was the first to be booted out of the camp by viewers of the show.
Earlier the MP had been discussing the elimination with fellow contestant Eric Bristow, who believed Linda and Charlie were likely contenders for the eviction.
Nadine admitted: “I think it will be me but I’ll see if you are right.”
According to bookmakers Paddy Power, the MP topped the odds of being the first to leave, with Made In Chelsea star Hugo Taylor and Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts behind.
As Limahl, Ashley, Hugo, Rosemary, and Linda all exempt from the first elimination, there were six remaining contestants up for eviction. As presenters Ant and Dec revealed it was between Eric and Nadine, the MP almost seemed relieved when her name was announced.
Asked if she felt disappointed, she replied “I don’t think anyone would be disappointed if they hadn’t eaten properly for so long.”
The MP admitted to Ant and Dec that she doesn’t regret her time on the show and believes it has helped her ‘find’ herself.
When asked who she believes will win, she admitted that she thinks boxer David Haye will be the jungle champion.
